Refunds & digital delivery
Kevin’s Digital Services provides custom website and digital support services. This policy applies to our current custom services; any future downloadable product or subscription will have suitable terms agreed before sale.
Delivery: digital, with no physical shipping
Website source files, deployment and handover are provided through the method agreed in the quote. Spreadsheet and PDF files are delivered to the agreed email recipient. No physical goods are shipped and no physical shipping charges apply.
Before accepting an order, we agree the scope, price and currency, payment stages, delivery date and time zone, revision allowance, hosting responsibilities and any third-party costs. Work begins after the agreed payment is verified and the required brief is complete. If customer information or approvals are missing, we communicate the delay and revised schedule. We also notify customers of unavoidable delays on our side.
Cancellations & refunds
- Before work starts: a full refund of the service payment.
- After work starts: refund the unused balance after accounting fairly for work actually completed at prices or milestones agreed before starting. We provide a written breakdown; no undisclosed cancellation penalty applies. Applicable statutory cancellation rights take priority.
- Errors against the agreed brief: we correct our errors without an extra charge. This does not replace any other remedy the customer is entitled to.
- If we cannot deliver: refund the undelivered portion. Where nothing usable has been delivered, provide a full service-price refund.
- Preference changes after approval: correctly completed work is not automatically refundable solely because preferences change. We discuss included revisions or quote for new requirements, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Approved third-party purchases, if any, are identified and agreed separately before commitment. We do not automatically deduct payment-processing charges from a refund or retain a payment simply because it was called a deposit.
Online purchases & consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including applicable cancellation, cooling-off and service-quality remedies. Where section 44 of South Africa’s Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, a consumer may cancel an online service agreement without reason or penalty within seven days of concluding it, with a full refund within 30 days of cancellation.
The Act contains exceptions, including services begun with the consumer’s consent before that seven-day period ends. If early commencement is requested, we obtain and record that consent before starting and explain its effect on that cooling-off right; other statutory rights remain. We do not assume that all custom work is exempt. Customers elsewhere retain any mandatory rights applicable to their order.
Request help or a refund
Email kevinsdigitalservices@gmail.com with your order or invoice reference and a short explanation. We review the agreed scope and work completed and explain the proposed outcome in writing. Refunds are returned through the original payment method where supported, within applicable legal deadlines; we confirm the processing arrangements and expected timing. No password or full bank/card details should be emailed.
Project-specific terms are agreed before payment and read together with this policy. They cannot remove mandatory rights. Customer disputes and actual refund authorisations are handled by the owner.
